Body Lift Problem

I JUST INSTALLED A BODY LIFT ON A 1994 F-150 FLARESIDE AND NOW THE DOOR ON THE DRIVER SIDE HITS THE FENDER WHEN IT OPENS AND CLOSES, I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO DO THE INSTALL WENT FINE, ALSO HOW DO YOU PUT THE BUMPER IN THE NEW POSITION, WAS TOLD YOU MAY HAVE TO CUT THE FRAME A LITTLE TO FIT THE BUMPER ON, I AM WILLING TO DO SO BUT I WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT IS THE CORRECT WAY TO DO SO I DONT MESS ANYTHING UP.

you do have to cut the frame rails alittle to fit the bumper and the reason you are hitting the fender is because when you lifted the front of the truck the body shifted. stand behind the truck and see if you can verify this. if so loosen the two bolts near the radiator that holds the front to the frame and try and shift it back over. the front of the older fords aren't as rigid and tend to shift like that.

I took a different appraoch when lifting my 95. I cut a couple notches out of my bumper and let the frame poke through. Filled the hole in the frame with expanding foam from a can and spray painted it. It's hidden a bit by my grillguard. I do funny things like that.

The bumper is real tricky; especially if you have bent mounting brackets like I did. You just have to torque those bolts down real real tight.
