Yep, I have heard of it doing that.
I haven't done it, but another member has actually bent his frame in the shape you describe and since it bent like a 'smile' it still drove straight.
My guess is that a shorter wheel base might prevent some of this. You have a supercab right?<A HREF="http://pub9.ezboard.com/bmiareafordtruckowners" TARGET=_blank> </A>

Unhappy

Mine has a similar problem, but it's the hinge for the snuglid that scrapes the
window frame, why is it white underneath?
I haven't been off road since I bought the
lid,, must be that turning into steep drive-
ways does it. I am going to trim some of
the piece off, it's the tab that goes through
the hinge base and it sticks out to far.
Shouldn't hurt it, it looks to have 1/2" too
much matierial on it anyway.......98

If you talking about the black plastic surrounding the rear window it's because when this type of plastic when subjected to this kind of stress, ( bending, scrapping ) or just a good amount of pressure turns white because of the heat generated. Go find one of those old thin pocket combs that we all used to carry in our back pockets in high school and bend it, you will get the same results.

I looked at your profile, your a bodyman, as in working on cars/trucks painting, repairing etc ... ?
