Post Door overlap

My 10 year old son did not close my rear door all the way. When I closed the front door, it chipped some paint off the top of the rear door.

I discovered that the rear door is more forward when not closed, causing the front door to actually overlap at the corner. Has anyone else noticed this?

Thumbs down

After reading your post, I went out to check my truck, you're right they do overlap. But I see Ford corrected this problem on mine, I could never figure out why there was a little peice of felt on the outside of the door, until now! Well it seems to work fine because I knoticed on both doors the felt has worn thru from the doors being closed by accident against each other. I will have to see if I can get some more of this $$$$$ tape to replace! LOL hehe.

Yup - simple geometry. Both doors open in a arc opposite each other. Add to that the normal door overlap and you have a contact situation.
