Post S/D V8 badges

Hi y'all!

I have noticed that the Super Duties and vans have Triton V8 badges on the leading end of the front fenders. Has anyone obtained a set for thier F150? If so, how much were they and did you have to drill to install?

Darin

J-C - If your Super Duty had V8 badges, I'd worry enough to count the spark plugs to make sure there were 10. I have seen SDs with the Triton V10 badge in the same location.

Bob- I'll give my dealer a call to see if I can get a set. - Thanks!

Darin,
Thanks for the update...
I guess the V-8 badges probably go in the same place my V-10 badges are located.
No worries...

The decals in question are self adhesive. You should be able to get them from a local Ford dealer.

I went to order them today. Thought about the "power stroke" or "V10" badges, but I couldn't afford (or fit) to make a true claim to the label in my F150.

Anyway, for anyone interested, they were around $30 for a pair. Should be here in 3 days.

Got the badges today! Pulled the truck into a heated garage to install them and then the dilema. Where to put them. I thought about on the front of the fenders, like the S/D's but I stuck them on temp. w/ masking tape and they didn't look right. Then checked the apearance at the lower fender behind the fr. tire (even w/door moulding) - looked great, but I feared the compound curve in the fender at that point would have a negative effect on adherence. Finally decided to put them right under the F150 emblems on the fenders. They look very nice, although the new ones are a bit thicker at the tops, so they don't have a smooth appearance. All in all, they look great!

I would suggest the same to anyone looking to add the TritonV8 label to the earlier trucks.

Hi Ford people. I own a XLT with the standard v6. I know what you may be thinking,
and I did used to own V8's like 351 and 351m400, etc. Only that gas prices here are over 3.00 per gallon or .76 p/liter. Anyway
I felt left out when the engine badge fairy forgot me. I wouldn't feel right applying a Triton V8 logo under my F-150 badge. So I used my skills as a graphic designer and made me a "4.2L S.P.I" logo out of chrome vinyl and a piece of white polystyrene plastic (1/8" thick)painted black and some 3m 2 sided tape. I think it looks good...Almost original.

1997 XLT 4x4 full equiped V6-5 speed manual, K&N filtercharger, fake dual exhaust, Alpine 6 CD changer.
