Does anyone know if the lower bumper from a 4x4 can be put on a 4x2? I like the look of the factory fog lights, and want to know if I can graft them onto my 4x2.

 

The short answer is yes, I have factory fog lamps on my 4x2 truck. For the long answer, do a search on this site for that subject. That subject has come up at least 4 or 5 times in the last year. Plus I posted on how I did it (a kit I ordered from Ford).

Thanks Freezer, I called my dealer with the numbers I found in the posts, and either that kit for the 99's works in the 2000, or there is a new kit, but either way, he called back and said that he could get it. I am glad I found out that I can do that, because I would have gone to great lengths to wire it myself.

Well I'll try and get some pictures online, but I've been saying that for a while now. I just seem to forget to snap a picture of the front of my truck every time I have my camera handy. But in all honesty the front of my truck looks the exact same as a 99 or 00 4x4 truck with two exceptions. First, it is a little lower than a 4x4 because the 4x2 have less ground clearance. Second, no tow hooks. The frame on the 4x2s does not allow for tow hooks, but the bumper does not have the cut-outs for tow hooks anyway.
