My amp keeps blowing the fuse on my power wire?

Everytime I stick a new fuse in my power wire, it automatically blows. I have all the wires hooked correctly, power, ground, and remote. My thought is that it is not grounded properly. ANy suggestions. THanks

An improper ground won't blow the fuse. You most likely have your power wire grounding on metal somewhere or an internal problem in your amp. You might try running a separate (temporary) power wire to the battery to bypass the existing one. That way you could rule out that possibility. I've fried amps before which repeatedly blew fuses until I figured out what was wrong. Hopefully it's just a pinched power wire.

Keep us posted.

Make sure you are using the correct fuse. It should be rated for about 10 amps more than your amplifier can pull.

watts/volts=amps
