I have an '07 FX4 and would like to have audio controls in my steering wheel. I discovered this thread:

and I'd like to try it out, but my only problem is finding the controls for the steering wheel. I currently have cruise on/off on the left side and cst/set/res on the right side. I need to find a control with all functions for the cruise in one unit for one side and the controls for volume in one unit for the other side. Can anybody tell me where I can find them?

I believe you need the lariat and above trims to have steering wheel controls. Some FX4s may have them but not many. There is a thread around here that shows the process to remove the airbag and tie in the OEM buttons. Ebay is your friend. Thanks for the help, novsun88. I didn't want to have to change out the steering wheel, but I may have no choice. I already have the instructions for the buttons, but I'll have to look around for the airbag removal.

 

A little different variation to this question, I have a 2012 SCREW and I have steering wheel controls, but I was hoping there was a way for me to swap their current positions. Right now audio, sync and phone controls are on the right and cruise and directional arrow is on the left. I would like to swap these positions so my audio, phone and sync are on the left since I drive mostly with my left hand on the wheel.

Anyone have any ideas on how to do this or if Ford has a kit that would switch the controls?
