Looks really good, I like how you mounted your CB.

A bit late, but I also mounted mine from the tie down hooks in the bed. I just made an L bracket out of sheet steel, and got longer bolts so that I could still retain the hook. Its held my 102" whip just fine for over a year now.

Nice finished setup, but I would recommend putting a spring on that firestik though, cause eventually you're going to want to drive into a parking garage and the firestiks don't bend very well.

Thanks for the kudos indeed. It took a lot of reading on here and help from you guys for sure and greatly appreciate it. I am ordering a spring because I have already hit a few of the local drive-thru's and you are right about it not flexing alot.

Yes the CB is the Cobra 29WXNWBT and it has Weather and Bluetooth. The NOAA weather comes in really clear and I was surprised to find out the Bluetooth work GREAT with my cell phone. The only thing missing is a PA speaker. The one at radio shack sounded really "tinty" so I took it back.
Any suggestions on a PA speaker?

I got one of the cheap 15 dollar ones off of ebay and it worked great actually. Had it for over a year with no problems on my Ranger.

Well thats probably what I will do then - I did find some amplified speakers that put out 15 watts but then you have to run that to the battery...

Hey I got a question regarding the firestick antenna. I got mine mounted and works good when truck is off but when truck is running the bar on the cb hits 20+. Do I need to ground the antenna because I got an aluminum mounting kit for it or is their something else wrong. I got it wired straight to the battery and still have this problem. can anyone help me out this is bugging me? Also if I need to ground the antenna how would I do it?
