I have more of the split loom that came with the amp wiring kits. That would be much easier to put on than the techflex--I won't have to disconnect anything or have to reroute it.

I'll see if I have enough to cover both wires underneath.

Thanks man but I'm novice. Some of the other guys on here have some insane setups--many of which I'd like to take ideas from. Like you, though, I don't have the time or patience.

I appreciate the compliment--I just did what I could in the time frame I had. Only thing left is the sub box.

Nice man, how do the subs sound? I've got the JL StealthBox with 1 10" and it sounds great!

How much was the H/U? I've been meaning to add a double din H/U when I upgraded my system the other summer but never got around do it. I was going to go with the Pioneer AVIC-F90BT, but now that's outdated and the Z110 looks pretty cool! How long is the startup time?

Don't have the subs in yet. I ordered the box from Fox Acoustics on the 6th. Never heard anything so I emailed them two weeks ago. Never got a reply so I called them last Tuesday. They answered and said they just finished a batch of F150 boxes and that they would ship out by the next morning (last Wed).

Still haven't heard anything. I'm going to call this afternoon to check on it. It may just be FedEx being slow updating progress but it has been a week. They are nice boxes, no doubt, but if it takes three weeks before they ship out it would be much better customer service to at least send their customers an email explaining why. They charged my account the day I ordered it...

I'll let you know how they sound when I get them put it. The head unit was just under $1000 shipped. I think authorized dealers are offering a $200 rebate for a limited time. Really depends on where you buy it--but it will run between $1000 and $1600. It's expensive, no doubt, but well worth it. This thing kicks ***. Startup time is extremely fast for a fully-loaded unit. I'll try to get some videos up today--it's been a busy week.

Sucks about the Box man, hopefully it'll be worth it.

I found the H/U on sonicelectronix for 999 shipped. I don't think that includes a rebate though.

Yeah that's where I bought mine. They don't have the rebate because they're not an authorized retailer. They have a year replacement warranty on electronics, though, so I figured if something went wrong it would be within a year anyway.

Other places are around $1200 so with the $200 rebate it comes out to about the same. I didn't find out about the rebate until after I ordered, though.

If you're looking for top of the line then this is your unit. The only thing I have yet to hook up is the speedo cable (for GPS gas calculations, etc), but I wouldn't use it anyway. Probably won't bother with it. Everything else is a breeze to install and it functions very well. Since you're interested let me know if there are any features you want me to shoot if I find time to do a video later.

I may or may not have time before it gets dark, but I'll try. Have a group project meeting around 3:30 so hopefully that won't take long, but weather.com has sunset around 6.

No worries man, I probably won't pick one up for a few months anyways. I'm trying to get the truck totally paid off before I drop any more $$ into it.

Did you have to do a bypass to let you use all the functions while driving? How does the speedo cable hook up?

Yes but it's not hard at all. On the main wiring harness there is a yellow wire (the Mute wire) that needs to be moved one position over. Just pop it out with a sewing needle or something and shove it back in one spot to the left.

Take that yellow wire and ground both it and the parking brake wire. I just tapped them into the black wire on the harness--that way I didn't have to ground each one separate.

Be careful ordering from Sonic guys. They aren't authorized so you get no factory warranty, and although they offer a 1 year "sonic" warranty it is complete BS. read their warranty policy and you'll see what I mean.

I found the Z110 on electrawarehouse.com for $1050 shipped and they're listed on Pioneer's website as an authorized Pioneer dealer.

Yeah man it actually came in today. I got the subs put in and went to install it. Ran into a problem (about to start a new thread on it) so it's not hooked up yet.

The box is killer, though. Very high quality--I'm glad I didn't cancel the order.

Did one small update. Sorry for the strange angles--it's a beast to fit up under there.
