viper 791 remote start problem

I was installing a radio when i pulled on some wires from the ignition to the viper alarm remote start. I think there was three connected together but i was only sure of two. So i connected the two together. Remote start works with the remote fine. But with the key in the ignition it takes about 3 or 4 tries to get it to start. I noticed when it dont start the factory security light blinks fast which means the factory antin theft is activated.

Sounds like something got loose. Double check all connections and possible resolder them.

You need to be a little more specific as to what wires you pulled (color, thickness, where they are at, ect).

Why were you even under the dash to install a radio? Theres absolutely no reason to be under there unless you were running RCA's/remote wire.

I was running my gps antana through the fire wall. I notice a lot of wires all over the place so i started tying them down when i noticed there were a few that looked like they were loose so I redid them with but ends the way they were. Wire from the ignition(black and green) was tied to the (orange) accesory from alarm and i was not sure about the acsessory from the motion detector. Do all these wire to tied together?

All these wires were under the ignition. The black and green wire was about a 16 guage the orange wire was about 10 guage. The accesory from the motion sensor was 16 guage also. Thanks for any help.

You pulled loose your keysense wire. BTW, who did the install because it shouldnt have just come loose, thats a huge NONO in alarms not to solder wires.

I figured out what i did wrong. I was using my spare key with the chip in it. I read on manual not to use key with chip with the 556u module. Since it is in the module. Been using generic key and have no problems. Thanks for the help anyways.

Deffinitly a big mistake.

Dont leave any of those wires unconncted under there. Take to someone who knows alarms and have them resolder those wires and check the rest of the unit as well. If those came loose, god only knows what might be next.

Are you serious....?

Thats the point of the keysense wire... To sense if a key is in the ignition and not engage the other. Whoever told you that you dont use a chipped key with a key in the coffin (556U) is FRIGGIN DUMB and needs to be disarmed of his alarm privledges!
