Well looky their a short and sweet answer. If you would have read the post you would have seen this and then you would not have to waste your time. All your suggestions were addressed before I even posted this question. Iwas looking for something thats was specific to this vehicle. To me this seems to be one of those type of answers. Like I said MR. SR Member whatever move on I do not need you to write a book for me. I am aware of those things that you suggested to be checked. I am trashing the site howes that, asked a question did not like your answer so what. It happens everday in life get over it. I also don't recall asking for you advice in this thread anymore. Can you show me where that post is. The suggestion above may or maynot fix it. If it dooes I will have somthing new to put in my cheat sheet if not back to the drawing board.

Have a nice Day

alternater noise

Ok I will try this one more time 2005 ford f150 screw components added all at the same tim jvc 7300 with Ipod , bluetooth ans siruskicker 700.5 amp 2 jlw1v2 with 6x8 in front and rer doors ans a set of tweeters in the front door. What I have done to date we have completly isolated the power wire by itself we tried a new stereo we tried a different amp and we also took our groung and moved it from the cab chasisand attached it to the frame we jumped from battery neg with jumper cable to isolate battery groung still noise we also bypassed the eq in the sytem. One thing that seemed odd when we disconnected the negative cable from the batterry the noise more than doubled in sound we are at a loss couple of other notable mentions maybr run a car to groun ??? Maybe there is something internally on the ford alternator that broke that helps noise supression but does not effect the charging process. Now I am frustrated because my installers are at a loss for remedy any suggestions

Mark

Good Night

I did another hu and and amp also. I bypassed the eq No luck one thing that I did notice is that when we take the battery out of the equasion the noise gets louder I guess it makes sense because now your asking more from your alternator I also ran the power wire completly isolated it has its own path with nothing running next to itWe also ran a ground to the frame. I am open to any suggestions I have removed and rerouted everthing nothing seems to work. My truck is a 2008 Man I was tired when I made that post and it shows

, the hu ground for that brand might be a prollem, also due to your brand of amp it prolly is un balanced, you can get a ground loop isolator. you seem to be doing alot of checking and changing everything, using all the normal trouble shooting methods, could be the brands, kicker amps are like power accoustic, really loud but all distortion, is the noise there when you pull the rca? ground the hu at the battery once see if it changes, groun the rca shields once see what happens, have you done the big 3? it could be the alt, very doubtfull... are your gains set real high? also when you say bypassed eq, did you uninstall it?

yes I have been talking to my installer and we did grnd the hu to the batt and we also did grnd one set of rca's and we still had noise and the eq was uninstalled my gains are low because I ama only running two jl10w1v2 which only need 150 watts and the amp puts out 420 and yes i did look at this and it is down. I dont know the alternator is puting out properly. I just think ford will tell me to f off for a warranty on this noise problem because it is putting out the correct voltage for a battery charge. Hey by the way thanks for your input just trying to see if there is something out of the ordinary for this model truck. Just thought on your first post you were fing the newbie and I just wanted the answers I am getting now. Maybe my first post should have been better stated. I know this is not the forum for this but I am also having issues with my 22in rims and the offset just one thing after another. anyway thank you for your input

you stated that you disconnected the battery from the vehicle while running ( which by the way is really not a smart thing to do with an all computer controlled vehicle because of voltage spikes) but have you disconnected the alternator power lead going to the battery with the vehicle running to see if the noise stops? it may not be the alternator or charging system causing the problem. do you by any chance have any power wires or rca's for your equipment running next to any wires for fuel pump, ignition systems, wipers , a/c wiring and stuff like that? sometimes they are not sheilded and can cause problems if you have your power wires or rca's running next to them or going across them. have you checked your battery and all connections? sometimes when a battery goes bad or is going bad you can get noise into the electrical system because the battery acts as a noise filter for the alternator just like when you took it off the noise got worse. if you have another one laying around you may try putting it in just to see what happens.but im just throwing some suggestions out there for you. maybe it will help maybe not.
