If your trying to just get the radio out that is easy. You will notice 4 holes in the face of the radio, 2 on each side. They are there to allow the use of a DIN tool to release the clips that hold the radio in the dash. You can buy these tools at just about any stereo shop or order from Crutchfield.

Question

Assuming you are talking about a 97+ truck, you will need to pop the trim panel that surrounds the radio/temperature area off. It's held in with spring clips, so it will pop right off. Then use the tools mentioned above.

you may not even need to buy the tools from the shop...if you ask they may let you use them for a minute..thats all it takes, or even just come out and pull the stereo out of the dash for ya. I used to work in a stereo shop and we did that ...provided the trim had been removed. Saves money since you may never use them again and it takes mere secondes to actually take the radio out

If you have a wire coat hanger and a pair of wire cutters, you can make your own. Just cut the two curved ends (if you can really call them that) into "U" shapes and they will work fine.

I was using the coat hanger meathod and it worked ok. Saw the Dinn tool at Walmart today for $3.80 and bought it.

Remember to disconnect your ground for 2minutes prior to the radio removal - or at least thats what I've been told.
