IPOD Locations
If I make my own MP3s from my CDs the quality is excellent and I can't tell a difference. I've also downloaded MP3s that claim to be 320 that you can definitely tell have been compressed. It all comes down to the source.
Mine is in my glovebox and is ran by my stock hu through a brandmotion.

I have found this to be true as well. Even after deleting and re-downloading some songs they still sound crappy regardless of compression settings. Other songs from the same site sound great (Rhapsody in this case).
Does anyone have a solutuion that will let me use my IPOD and keep the factory CD changer?
I've had no luck finding anything. All the interfaces I've found require that you disconnect the changer to use the IPOD with the factory headunit. Aftermarket head units don't work with the factory CD changer.
I could probably build a switch box to select between the IPOD & CD, but I would like a neater factory made solution.
I know that aftermarket hardware is probably better than the factory stuff, but I am pretty satisfied with the factory radio/cassette/cd changer after I swapped the OEM speakers for some Pioneer 3ways.
Believe it or not, I actually have a use for the cassette player, so I'd like to keep it.
My truck is a 97 F150 XLT super cab.
Any suggestions.....?
