IPOD AUX location

So,i just purchased the PIE FRD04-AUX for my headunit. i have two questions,
1. it says that there is a audio level adjuster that you set for your headunit's specs, so waht do i set this to????

2. Where should i put the input at? i want it to look clean kind of like how the 07's come stock (in that little tray on the dash) but im not sure how i should go about this, any pics or or help would be great!! thanks!

I installed mine and then adjusted the levels by ear before putting the trim panel back on.

I ran my iPod cord to the glove box, some run it to the center console if they have the flow-thru console.

the ends of the cords were threaded(got them at radio shack)(2 jack ends), so i test drilled some holes in some other plastic and got the perfect sized hole drilled, soldered one side on, slid the cord through the hole, threaded the jack into the hole, then soldered on the other end, then I used an RCA to 1/8'' plug to go into my PIE. I could take some pics, but its pretty self explanatory, any other questions lemme know
