Sounds about right. What size wires? Also make sure you have 2 sets of RCA's.

using 1/0 for the 1500D and 4 to the 100.2 from a distro block. Yup i have one set of monster cable RCA's already the other set is yet to be picked up. All power wire and associated accessories are streetwires.

Sound deadening is the key part missing to your install. You want it to sound good? Deaden the crap out of the doors, rear wall, seal the vents, and maybe even the floor if you wish.

Oh, and processing.

I would say 12ga. Leave the xovers on the back wall. 60ft is probably about right (if not a bit too much, better safe then sorry).

Doesn't sealing up both vents make the AC whistle? I've read posts about problems from (nearly) completely sealing the cab..

Learn from my mistake. You can seal the vents if you want to, but it will cause a whistle if you turn on the fan. My biggest mistake was removing the OEM vents. I ended up having to buy new ones and reinstall them which is darn near impossible without taking the bed of the truck off...and no I am not joking.

Yup, it was mainly your build thread on DIY that had me thinking about the whistle. The cab needs to be deadened, but it's not airtight from Ford for a reason.

I sealed my passenger side rear vent completely and half of the driver's side vent, and my fan never whistles as long as I dont crank it past 4 bars. It NEVER is past 4 bars for me, so its not a problem. The sound difference with them sealed like this is WELL worth it, reduced exhaust and tire noise big time. I didn't remove my vents, i just sealed them up. If i ever want to, I could remove the seal and it would be stock again. But that wont be happening.

As far as deadening, if you can afford it, go with Damplifier Pro from Secondskin. If you are on more of a budget, Raammat BXT from Raamaudio is also a quality product yet more affordable. I've got some of both in my truck.
