Looks cool, I bet it cranks.
I like what you did with the heat/AC controls, which allowed you to put two units in the dash without ripping the inside if the dash apart.
Just one question how do the subs sound, and would you call that infanatly baffled?
take care

no, it is still a sealed enclosure. Diamond Audio calls for a .5 cuft enclosure. That measurement includes the displacement of the sub itself (magnet, subwoofer basket, etc...) so what I did is took .5 cuft and subtracted the displacement of the sub, which is .128 and came up with .372. So when you mount the sub upside down you have to reverse the polarity(+/- and -/+) and include the area that is in the bowl of the sub cone and the area of the hole you cut out in the side of the box. In other words the cuft measurment inside the box itself is not .372. You come up with .372 by adding the box interior(lxwxh) to the mounting hole(area of circle x thickness of the wood(3/4") to the area inside the bowl of the woofer cone, because in it's resting state it is part of the volume of the enclosure. To make it simple, it's a sealed enclosure.
An infinate baffle enclosure is one that is used in cars with trunks and the sub is mounted on the rear deck and uses the entire trunk as it's enclosure. That type of enclosure can't be used in a truck.

Sorry about all the techno garbage.

P.S. And the subs do sound awesome. They thump very hard and also hit the lowest notes that you can't hear but only feel very well also. One thing that helped me out was that Diamond Audio calls for a very small enclosure. Most companies ask for bigger enclosures. I would suggest these subs to anyone. They are pricey though. $250-$300 per sub.

Thumbs up

Very nice job. That's how I would have done it, but I have the 60/40 seats. I had to do alot of cutting to get the two decks to fit mine.

With my EQ I could have done it that way without cutting anything. My EQ in the dash is only the face plate. The brain mounts in another area and allows you to mount the face in a shallow area. In my other truck I had it mounted in my headliner between the visors. I may mount it that way in this truck too. I want to get the factory top plate for my expy console where my A/C controls. The factory mounted A/C controls there at one point. But it runs $100.
