Arrow Factory Door Speaker Removal??

How hard is it to remove the door speakers. I hear a cracking from the left front door speaker like the speaker is ripped or something. I would like to replace the factory door speakers but it looks like a complex door panel to remove???

Check out this article:

It shows how to remove the speakers in a '99 F-150 SuperCab, as long as a '97 is not different, this should help.

Doug.

these are very easy. just pull the 2 side strips off with hands to expose main panel, 1 long one small. then at top of each side of main panel theres a plastic pin, push the center in then it will some out easy. then all you have to is lift up on the panel and take off. this whole process takes only about 5 minutes or less. you only need something small to push the pin clip in

Cool

jbrac is right on. very easy. just two things to add.
Do it with the window rolled down. This makes it a lot easier to get the door lock thing through that little hole.
And don't forget to unhook the little courtesy light towards the rear of the door. A good pull could break it.
