Question Help- how do I find the attenna's connection point?

Hi,
I guess this will show my status as a lame shade tree mechanic, but....... hoe do I get to the coaxial attenna cable's end connector-???
I cannot figure out how to get back there, is there a way that doesn't involve tearing out the whole floor shrouding around the blower vents and under the glove box? I have tried tracing it in through the engine compartment, but can't get to it.
I'm trying to install an attenna booster to get improved AM reception until I can get a replacement for the factory radio.
Any suggestion????????

Cool

Pull out the radio and the cable for the antenna is plugged in it's back side. You should be able to boost the signal at this end. Just place it inline.

Question

Awright, now I SAID I were a beginner- in my Nova, I could have done just as you said, but I'm lost with these newfangled contraptions- assume I'm really really stupid and cannot even figure out how that factory radio would be ABLE to be pulled out.....
How's that for a starting point.....
Thanks for your previous prompt response.

What are you driving?

Is the radio a din mount..does it have two small holes on either side of the face plate?
If so insert two din style tools or some coathanger wire in each hole untill you hear a snap, should be just an inch or so.push inward..from the side...not inward towards the faceplate. On the tools,wire..whatever..

Question

We're driving 2 1997 F-150's: 1 is a 4X4 Off Road XLT Reg Cab, Long Bed, the other is a 4X2 XL Ext Cab, Long Bed.
Not Sure if DIN mounted- just standard OEM Radios- 1 W/ AM/FM/CD Changer, one with just AM/FM/Cassette.
Thanks again.

97's are DIN, you will need to remove the cover over the radio( it just pulls out, pry jently with vents turned toward the doors) and insert the DIN tools into the slots on each side of the radio and pull it out. Just be patient and you'll get it no problem.
