Truck Audio - How To Book
Does anyone have a recommendation on a book or books that are good resources for designing and installing an upgraded audio system?

How about the Car Stereo Cookbook from Crutchfield. Its got everything in there and tells you how it works. Its not aimed at trucks of course, just general audio knowledge.

Kenwood 4011 stereo, Rockford 150a1 amp, Profile electronic crossover, 2 10" IDQ DVC's, and USAcoustics 2150 amp(on the way).
FUTURE STEREO MODS:
Memphis components in front, Pioneer 3ways in rear, amp for the components, and a cd changer.
FUTURE PERFORMANCE MODS:
4.10 gears, Edlebrock shocks, supercharger, Airaid, power pulleys.

Two books that i have purchased from Books-A-Million are; Auto Audio by Andrew Yoder, publisher is McGrawHill and High Performance Car Stereo: A Beginners Guide To High Tech Auto Sound Systems by Joe Pettit. I think the 2nd book may help you learn and then you can get creative like i did.
I left the stock Premium head unit in, & added 2 Pac adapters which convert the low level power that was going to your spkr's & carries that thru RCA cables that go to a X-over. From there 2 amps supply enuff power to 4 tri-axials in the doors & 2 ten" subs in a custom built box that is bolted to the floor, plus still allows the rear seat bottom to fold up or down. The amps, X-over, dist. blox., & wiring are all mounted on a custom built "amp rack" behind the rear seat. The whole system is very stealth , yet it ROCKS!!!
