Can anyone help me find a 6 disk cartridge for my oem install disk player? This is the one located on the side in the 97 supercab. I found a web site on this site from someone how sell aftermaket stuff, but cant find it now. The Kenwood system look like it is the same one. If I could get a number I am going to try a place like Circut city or a place like that and find one that will fit. The parts guy at a local dealer said they go for $60 buck, american. FOR A PIECE OF PLASTIC GO FIGURE.
ANY HELP ON THIS SUBJECT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATE!!!!

I have been looking for this too. My dealership told me $60 also. what a rip off. I am in NJ and have checked circuit city, wiz and other car audio stores and no one can match one. Everyone seems to think that they might be specifically made for ford so we can not go out and do this. Don't know if that is true. If you find one or find out where to get them please let me know. The changers are made by Clarion. I don't know if a Clarion 6 disk cartridge will fit and work. How the heck do you lose the cartridge!!! The dealership I work for sells them for around $60. I don't know where else you can get them from though.

I bought the truck used from a used truck dealer. When I asked the dealer if the truck came with one, he said that they did not even know there was a cd system in the truck(preety good HUN) anyway that why I'm looking for one. Thanks for everyone who replyed. I found a web site called "Discountcarstereo.com" and they list for my F-150 that it is a Alpine system model#chm-s611 or chm-s620. From the pic's they look just like the one thats in the truck, minus the wording on it. I will be giving them a call in the near future, They list a two pack of cd shuttle for $40.00. Thanks again

I live in Denver and went to SoundTrack, which is an audio / video super store.

In and out in 5 minutes with a Clarion 6 disc magazine. The part number on the Clarion box is CAA-122-300.

Cost was $31, and it works wonderfully.

 

It seems $25-$30 is pretty normal for a 6-disc cartridge and has been for quite a while...
