Hot factory CD player

Post Hot factory CD player

I have a 2000 f-150 with the single CD and when I remove a CD the CD is realy warm Is this normal

Yes this is normal. It happens more in the winter because you have the heat on on the truck. If the CD gets really hot, the radio will shut down the CD player until it cools off. You'll see a "CD TOO HOT" message on the radio.

The radio and the CD are both fine.
