CB Radios?

Just mounted a new CB radio in my truck. Still havent hard-wired the power or anntennea, but still looks nice. I drilled its dual-screw mounts into my aftermarket armrest.

Havent really used it yet, I mean I hear people and they hear me, but I havent really had a conversation as I'm only on the highway for like 7 miles to the next exit. What kind of range should I see on this for a good day?

Good choice on the mount location. Sometimes under the dash can be too far away. You can expect about 5-10 miles mobile to mobile and about 10-15 miles mobile to base. Of course, it depends on power output, antenna, and modulation. Those little Maxons are cheap radios but they work great.

Yeah they do. Only $20, and I always wanted one, so my dad got me one for my 11th birthday (I'm 16 now.) We do a lot of travelling on summer and I might be taking a road trip next weekend so I thought I could up the value of my truck a tad and make it that little bit cooler with another addon.

looks good
make sure you have the antenna tuned to your truck/cb
if it isnt tuned right the radio wont work as well
find your local cb shop and they should do it for real cheap

I just put my cobra 19 in my truck last week...I will try and snap some pics of it tonight and put it up...I mounted it on the drivers side of the flow through console right next to the shifter and just mounted a small little antenna on the bed rail of drivers side..I like it alot cant wait to install the P.A. speaker

Sounds good to me. Now If my daugher wasn't five and living across the country, I'd be all over it.

Well, you can see how much time I'm spending outside, so I'm as safe as it gets here. Not that that's saying much.
