Poor auxiliary audio

Just got a 2006 King Ranch truck. The regular radio FM/AM sound is rich and crisp, but when we play the Sirius radio or DVDs (DVD player built-in from factory), the audio quality is very poor. Is this normal? Or could something be wired improperly? Any help would be appreciated!

Sounds like there might be a problem with the radios aux input. I have an 06 Fx4 with an ipod hooked up through the aux as well as a dvd and it sounds better than the radio does. If its still under warranty have it checked. Also if you have the audiophile check your settings as well.

How did you hook up your Ipod to the aux input? Is that a factory option or did you buy a cable?

They are probably using the factory AUX that comes with some trucks, and a headphone to headphone jack
