Well first off, that 400 watt rating on the subs are probably the MAX rating, which really means absolutly nothing. You need to look at the RMS rating. Im guessing its somewhere around 100-200 watts rms per sub. Once you have that, you need to find an amp that has a matching RMS rating. So, lets say those subs are 200watts rms a piece, you would need a 400watt rms amp. Do you know what ohm your subs are? Also, dual voice coil of single voice coil? If the subs came together in a box, it probably says what ohm they are wired for on the terminal cup. I would assume they are 4 ohm if they came that way...If you bought them separtate out of a box it could be anything, we need that info.

With that Alpine amp, I would run a speaker off each channel. Or, if the front speakers can handle the power, run the fronts brigded off the alpine.

How much are you wanting to spend on the sub amp?
