Nah if you look at my pic you can see its a magnet mount. works great up there. Its about I would guess a meter long (I think they have the lenghts on antenex.com)

should be last questions for awhile

Does your radio operate in the 200-300 mhz range or does it go 199 then it jumps to the 400's?
