Din Size?

How do you figure out din size for a replacement? I have an 03 screw with CD/tape/radio. I looked on Crutchfield's what will fit but don't see sizing.

Thanks,

From the pics I have seen, looking at some on ebay, it looks to be a double din. I checked Metra and Scosche and they do not make a double din kit for it but, it may not require one. I would say it is either a double din, which I think it is, or a din and a half.

The stock units are actually in between 1.5 DIN and Double DIN. 1.5 will fit teh easiest, but it wont take up the WHOLE space, faily close to it though. Double DIN will also fit, Im pretty sure you have to do some trimming back in the dash, and a little to the bezel that goes around the HVAC controls and radio. I believe there are specific kits out there that will allow you to mount a Double DIN unit though...

yah typically you can order singles or 1.5 with no modifications, and some ddins will fit. Its nice tho to have a single din, and have a little storage underneath it.

Is that little cubby considered 1/2 din size?
[begin thinking out loud]
I've found a 1/2 din DVD player online from XO-Vision, put in my Alpine CD/MP3 from my car, buy 2 headrest screens and I'd be set! Now just to figure out how to wire it!
[end thinking]

Close. You can fit your DIN sized Alpine, and the 1/2 DIN DVD with no problem.
