Need thoughts on my new system.
I have a 2000 F150 extd cab. I recently upgraded the sound system. I put in a Pioneer DEH-16 headunit. 4, Pioneer TS-A6870R 3 way speakers, 2 10" sony explode subs and an old 300 watt amp (given by a friend).
The subs just dont hit right to me and plus i dont like the pre-settings on the headunit.
So now i am going to put in a new system and tell me what you all think.
headunit - Alpine CDE-9843
amp - Rockford Fosgate Punch 3002
subs - 2 10" Kicker 03C10s

Sound like it should match up nicely.
Im pretty sure that most Alpines have sub outs, but its not really a problem if it doesnt. Set the crossover on your amp, and if your **** about the amp not catchin some of the higher frequencies, put a low pass FMOD on your RCA's that has a little higher cutoff frequency than what you set the amp at.
And if you wanna turn the subs off, put a switch on the REM wire.
No need for sub outs really
