Finally Installed///Pics posted

Finally got it all in and it sounds really good! New pics posted. Hey Sticker Steve... took your advice and set the amps to run straight thru and let the Head Unit (kenwood eXcelon kdc-x579) do all the work. Alpine MVR-T320, 1/4 gain, no boost, no filter for the Sub. RF-P120.2, 1/2 gain, no filter for the MB Quarts. All the Xover work and Bass Boost is done from the head unit. It has all the needed settings. The Quarts also have their own Xover of course in addition to the head unit filter. I will now clean up all the wiring behind the seat...just wanted to get it all there first. Pics Posted in gallery. What do you think?

Looks good! Any problems with the tweeter depth in that location?

Right on Grey, I new you could do it. Looks good bud!

Dupuis, did you start with the audiophile or the standard system? I'll tell ya, the aphile had incredible depth and accuracy. Just didn't get very loud but the tweeters were very noticable right there. I'd say for a guy not knowing much about systems could benefit sticking with that spot. Time correction even in the aphile HU is critical.

If you mean depth into the door, the tweets are very slim in that respect. If you meant sound depth? I think It sounds awsome there. Did have to cut some slots into the doors for the width of the 6.5's to get them to fit and make my own MDF adapter plates. Finally found a use for the space under the middle seat Everything sounds clear and tight so far...wonder what it will sound like once it's broke in a bit.

He is reffering to sound depth (imaging). Things that I noticed with the stock speaker location was how lound the speaker your next to got. But with the audiophile time correction brought the stage right up to par. Sucked for the passengers, but sounded great to me. IF your HU has it, i suggest you figure it out. This is something setup using measurements from the speaker to your ear and correcting the time those different pathlengths take to get to your ears. My hu adjusts each and every line out.

The average Joe has no clue about imaging till they get around a system that does it. Then nothing else will do!

The standard 6 disc changer. It made all the diff. in the world after I installed the componants with the tweeter in its spot. I was going for the cleanest look (stock) I could get, so that was the only spot I considered. Very happy with it.

Does that deck have the DRIVERS SEAT, PASS SEAT and REAR SEAT feature when you scroll through MENU?

If not, I bet they sound a little bright on the door your sitting next to?

My HU dosen't have those adjustments. I know what your talking about because I am a home theater buff. The quarts xovers however do have tweeter adjustments for each. Like Dupuis I really wanted to keep a clean stock look, however the HU had to go, but everything else looks clean and stock.
