quick n easy HU question
#3
PLayer the high the S/N ratio the better the unit. Meaning it will reproduce sound with less distortion. For a HU anything above about 90db is pretty good. Your better HU's will usually have over 100db S/N. However anything over about 90db and you will not be able to hear any noise anyway.

jasonwho,
to be honest i have no idea what signal to noise ratio is or what applies to. Every head unit whose spec i look at have it listed and i was just wondering what it meant and what a good level would be. (example a panasonic head unit i was looking at had a signal to noise ratio of 93 db... i want to know if that is adequate or if there is better and what an ideal range would be)
thanks again
