I knew a guy in high school who put 2 15" subs in the bed of his S-10. The only con to it was that he had to cut into the back of the cab to run the speaker wires to the amps inside the cab.

I had the thought of doing that to my s-10 in high school. Just never did it or had the $$$. I was going to use a camper shell seal from JCWhitney between the cab and the bed and just cut out a large 2x4 ft hole. I was then going to make a new rear cab wall plate with a big bowtie in it where the opening to the bed would be. Then a few lights and/or mirrors would create a real trick look. Then with a hard bed cover the back of the box in the bed would display the amps, probably two as I planned on using 2 12's or 4 15's.

I'd would say if you don't mind a permanent and radical change it would be a totally awesome thing to do.

Have you heard of the DB Drag queen amp. I guarantee you could hear a 20,000 watt amp inside the cab of an f150.

If you are worried about the hole being there if you ever sell the truck just get the peices welded back in. But as far as sound goes it is a lot better than behind the seat. You would have more room for boxes to have more airspace, to equal louder bass. I ust to have 2 rockford fosgate power dvc 12s in my sinlge cab 99 w/ a kicker zr600, it pounded but had to sit a lot farter up.
