XM or well...
Let me ask all u Sirius people what ur goin to do with your recivers when they go out of business soon. I work for a car audio shop and whe now have 7 stores and ever rep that comes to our store says that Sirius is goin under and fast! XM, weather its better or not is the leader in the field or on paper, just look XM had more contracts (ie pioneer, GM, sony alpine so on, and so on) Before Sirius even had their service advertised. Bottom line the question is what are all the Siruis people goin to do when their company is no.
Odd that you say that supra because I was told nearly the same thing by the guys at Best Buy back when I signed up for XM nearly a year ago.
They said it was alarming how many XM systems that they were selling versus Sirrius. I have a hunch that Sirrius is hanging in there but, the sales #'s don't lie.

Sirius IS pretty good. I'm XM biased, so my little comparison was skewed. It's the equipment that makes XM, IMO, the better choice.
Sirius needs to survive. If it does'nt, XM has no one to compete with, and that could get ugly. I don't think they would take advantage, (the DJ's, staff in general) because i feel they really enjoy being cutting edge, and the opposite of FM. Or, what FM used to be like. Besides, if Sirius goes under, the whole idea of sat radio goes down with it, and that could kill XM.
So, talk a friend into Sirius, so you can use it from time to time just to experience it, and help save the industry. But, for every one person you talk into Sirius, talk three into XM.

Personally, I hope they make it and do very well. If they were to fold, XM would have a monopoly on the market and, in my opinion, could start charging whatever they want to charge (no competition)...
Just fell upon this thread because I am looking at adding one of the providers for myself. Sirrius looks to be the better for my situation as XM is loosing Howard Stern (moving to Sirrius) and the biggie for me is NASCAR is moving to Sirrius in January of 2007. I am a huge NASCAR fan and this would be the decision maker for me....
