Question Radio Signal Amp

I didn't get a response in the amp section, so I'll try here......

Are they worth the money? Do they work well for AM stations?
Also, would the increased "power" hurt my Pioneer head unit?

Here is one from JC Whitney

Are there any others?
-Thanks

i to listen to AM station juts about all day if i'm not using my newly installed XM. but for local shows like rush limbaugh or glen beck i have to us AM. personlay i have a singnal booster that attaches with inline with my attenna and cost about 15 bucks.
all you do is hook it up to yoru remote power to your radio and one to your battery and it works wonders.
