Question Will a '99+ factory CD work in '97-98?

Will a '99+ CD setup work in a '97 Expy? Looking at a truck with factory AM/FM/cassette.. or do you guys think just an aftermarket stereo would be much better? Thanks!

I'm not real sure where it happend but, I know I've heard people talking about the harness being changed somewhere in that time frame. Better double check that...

My personal opinion is that you should go with a aftermarket but, that's just my cup of tea.

It will work. I took one out of my '02 and put it in my mom's '97. As far as i can remember it all hooked up just fine. Good Luck.

it'll work as long as you have the connector in your ride that is roughly one inch square. if you have the two connectors that are about 2 inches long and 1/4" wide, you'll need an adapter.
