OK...no problem. Just review the questions I had about compatibility with my existing LIghtning remote CD changer. I just want to be sure it will work, is all.

Just got off the phone with the guy, he confirmed the part number you gave me. However he said it will not control the 6-disc changer in your lightning.

Let me know if you still want it, i havent gone and got it yet.

Shoot...my understanding is that it will. Does he know that for sure? Or is he just guessing?

If you don't mind, let put out the question on the forums here and see what they have to say.

Hopefully I can get a quick answer.

Did a search and found spoondog_svt did this to his 2000 Lightning. He confirms the part # and says that pressing the "CD" button twice controls the remote CD changer.

Not sure you want to call the guy back and run it past him (I don't want to be a big hassle here), but if you have the time.

Otherwise, still waiting on an accurate answer. I will be in touch, probably tomorrow.

Thanks!

OK...I have outside, RELIABLE conofirmation from Radios and More: it WILL work (if it is part #1C3F-18C815-AB).

"It will, but you may have to cut the piece of plastic behind the dash in order to make it fit. The existing radio has the same size faceplate, but it slopes off in the back to fit into that cavity. It's no big deal to cut that flap, it doesn't cause any problems and it's done all the time.
It will control the changer too.
Bill"

Confirm the # and I'll take it. How do we get together on payment? I don't know you; you don't know me?

Let me know! Let's do the deal!

I'm heading out from work now, but I will check online tonite when I get home.

Thanks,

Jim

I guess we need to work that out before I go get it. I sell stuff on ebay all the time but since im selling it for exactly what he wants for it I dont want to pay the ebay or paypall fees.

Email me at twfleming@mchsi.com and we can discuss this later.

I will confirm the part number before I go get it and before I ship it.

OK, Tom! I will be in touch later this AM at your email addy. I'm sure we can work something out. What sort of a hit do you take on a PayPay transaction? Like 1% or something?
