Red face Cool Blue air filter? Copycat K&N

Is it me or does the "Cool Blue" air filter look exactly like a K&N with blue filter oil?

looks like their cone filters are better than K&N cuz their ends are opened like the AF1, not capped off like the K&N

Their filter looks a lot like K&N. It looks as if it might allow even more air too. I atempted to check on the price but that page is under construction, so no luck on that.

and did you guys know K&N also makes blue filters? Ford sells them through their racing catalog

Someone on one of the other forums said that AutoZone sells them. I have not checked that out, though.

it was also stated in another post that these filters do not use any oil. So there would be little worry about the MAF.

Summit Racing Equipment has the filter Accel says fits the '97-'02 F150 for
$33.00. There is also some promo going on with purchase.

The only good filter ive seen with blue oil is made by AFE, they are same manufactures of the Blue "Holley" drop-in aftermarket filter, and they also supply a red & gold filter for the Iceman Intake system.

If you look at the Holley filter, it has the same warranty as the K&N but it actually flows alot better, just look at the construction of the pleet design, deeper and larger bends in the pleets, same material. The K&N has more qty of pleets (tighter) and sollow pleets, restricting in comparision. I feel the Holley filter is the better design...

my 2 cents...
