Yeah they're mounted to bottom of the bumper. The backside of the bracket is flush with the back edge of the bumper.

V-LEDS is in WA state, up in Bellingham. I had some biz to do up there so contacted them to see if I could check the LPF out (I still had the White Night lights on) and not only bought the plate frame I picked up the super bright LED reverse/back up lights

Very happy with them. Very bright and nice clean light.

cool.....bought some KC backup lights due to having 17% tint. Hardwired them to come on everytime I put it in reverse and mounted them on an N-Fab rear runner.

I like both of your guys setups! I did similar with mine. Drilled lights into the hitch. Originally had them hardwired to the main backup lights, but it made those dimmer and the Ford dealership thinks it killed my computer. So they hardwired it to my trailer wire pack (whatever its called - the same wires you plug your trailer into). They just pulled away the tape and wired it in under the bumper.

Concerning you V-LED's, which one seems to produce the most light, the replacement bulbs for your tail lights, or the License plate frame? Just wondering which one would work best when towing my bass boat...

Might could spring for one of them, but most likely not both!!

That's a great addition to your truck... Now just add a backup camera and you will really be set...

I've had a similar setup on my Expy. since I bought it. Looks very nice. Since I had an opportunity to change my rear circuit I added two (2) 50W lamps for the original lamps in my tail lights and a beeping warning signal (weather proofed) located under the rear bumper. It works similar to your setup, but I get the advantage of having the lamps higher on the truck; which affords more "rap-around" vision.

When towing a trailer I get a better sense of what is happening on the sides more than lighting up the hitch area.

just thought id share what im switchin to as soon as they come into stock..
ive been there too many halogen bulbs im tired of replacing then so on to led.
tell me what ya think. . .

http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...7598_200407598

i emailed then to find out details about the light 12 watts and draws 1 amp.
now from what i was told 12 led watts should equal 75 to 80 watts in halogen bulb.

How do you go about wiring auxiliary back up lights to the trailer plug wires? Can someone give me a heads up on this? I am in desperate need for extra back-up lights.

I need some bad. If I am in the woods on a moon-less light, backing up is a real PITA. I usually have a 4-wheeler trailer too. Thanks bud. Looking forward to the write-up.
