Has anyone installed a Saleen radiator ?

I have a saleen radiator to install and am having problems with the trans. lines getting the fittings off and putting the new ones on. Any tricks to this? And the lower rad hose, which end is which?
Thanks hammer05

I have this radiator and just installed it the other day there is a special tool for the transmission lines that you need it is just a piece of plastic that slides around the whole circumference of the line and slides in to unlock a plastic lock ring inside and the line just pops out. The lower radiator hose sucked to route but I couldn't figure which end either so I just found out which way it routed best and went that way but the the smaller end went under the engine and the larger opening went on the radiator. I have posted pics of the routing and what it looks like installed in another post if you search it just type in Saleen Radiator installed and it should bring up the post that I made.

sounds like the fittings are similar to the tool needed to replace the fuel filter. can anyone confirm this?

Why not simply install Ford's larger radiator for this truck? No problems about fit, fittings, hoses etc. and you can get it from a variety of Ford dealers, at a discount if you shop right. I have one and you can't tell it from stock (since it is, in a way) unless you take off the plastic radiator cover to see its twice as thick.

pretty sure this is the radiator installed with the tow package, or at least it's supposed to be.

confirmed. Work at ford. Go to any sears or such and ask for line disconnect tools for the trans.

That's not the one I'm referring to. I'm referring to the one rated for up to 700 HP, special order.

That's the one!

Troyer Performance also has a 1200 rated unit, that bolts right in.
