i think a few guys here have them, i dont personally.
I was at a friends shop the other day and was asked to pull a customer truck around, and it had them. It was a tall lifted F350 and right as i was trying to figure out how to climb in, i opened the door and it popped down. I couldnt even tell they were on there and they kind of suprised me when it popped down like that. Real creative and pretty slick.
I think if i had a tall truck i would get them, for an average or semi lifted truck the price probably outweighs the usefullness IMO.

I have them on my 08 screw and I Love them! They have been on my truck for about 4 months now. You can't tell they are on there, and IMO not that expensive. My truck is lifted 12" with 40" tires so I do wish they would drop another few inches for the wife(she is only 5'3")
