For those of you who have the Ezdown...

Got mine and installed it this weekend.But.....

1.My first problem is that the bolt that goes into the tailgate doesnt have a allen wrench type end in it so I cant tighten it down. I will be calling EZDown tomorrow to see if they can send me a new one.

2.Concerning the Damper end that connects to the side of the Truck.
Does you damper have a long clip on it? Mine is like half the size of the flange opening. Looking at some Ezdown pictures it appears that this clip should go to almost the top of the flange.
Anyway when you go to close the tailgate the whole damper raises up until it hits the bottom of the flange then the damper proceeds to raise. Then when opening the tailgate there is a slight drop as the flange is going from the bottom of the flange to the top of the flange.
Which I think if the clip was the right size it would prevent this from happening.

3. Other than that I love it.
