e-fan help

I want to install e-fans on my 07 f150. It has an electric fan clutch. Will removing it cause any check engine lights or other problems that I should be concerned about? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

unless they changed the engine since 05, your clutch shouldnt be electric. Got any pics?

My 03 F150 has a regular fan but my 07 has an electric fan clutch. I will try to post a pic later.

yeah in 06 or 07 they swapped to an electric clutch that's controlled via the PCM instead of the thermistor controlled variation.

you wont have any check engine lights coming on when you disconnect the electric clutch. I just did my efan install a few weeks ago and i havec an 07. no check engine light. i was able to use the factory fan clutch wiring harness for my 12v switched source for my fan controller

Thanks for the info. I have another question, Which is the positive wire coming from the a/c compressor? I have a red and black, I'm guessing the red. Is that the one you tied into?

I had a white and black wire on my '06. White was the positive.
