need some alarm/ remote starter help

im in the market for a remote starter and keyless, possibly something with an alarm. ive checked out a few of the deals at kcautosound, and will likely shop there. im fair with vehicle electronics, i cant imagine a prewired install being much harder than a sub and amp and headunit install. so my only real question is about bypassing the factory stuff. i called bestbuy and they said that it would cost an additional 110$ for the bypass stuff, circut city wanted to do a put your factory key in a box thing. neither one sounds like the best idea really. but if i buy say a code alarm 650 like it seems everyone on here uses how hard is the install and will i need to drop another 100$ opn a bypass or is there some trick you all know that will save me ?

Good 1

you are going to need a bypass module regardless... you can make a bypass module using a relay and some wire if you want to try it that way I'll post a diagram later in the day. But also keep in mind that alarm installs are 1 thing, remote start is another.. doing both.. I would consider going to BB or CC and getting it installed there, you got nationwide coverage if ever a problem comes up! CC should be able to wire up the relay thing I'm talking about.
BTW viper is at best buy and circuit city has python...same exact thing, just diff. label, the only diff. in installation is BB uses t-taps on everything, CC solder and tapes (sometimes heat shrink)everything

I have a Valet system also made by Viper, I've had it for four years now, still works great. It's a Two-way, alarm and command start. They had to install an RFID mimic on top my ignition switch.

sorry I lost track of this thread..

Transpoder based rfid IMMOBILIZER systems work with induction. For remote start installation you will need to simulate the presence of the key. When no other bypass kit is available you can bypass the system using a relay and some telephone style wire

you need like 12-15 in of wire from the relay to the key, then about the same from the key to the key cylinder, good luck!
ground out - from the remote starter is gonna be (usually) your blue/white
