What does "btt" mean? LOL

I just read on EBay on a auction for an SRT-9000 something like:

"Use caution buying an SRT unit from my competitors! All my units have the new 2009 updated antenna and firmware. Units with the old antenna and firmware don't work as well."

I want to get to either KC or Code Alarm to find out if this is true and if the fix is available for all the people with units that don't work right.

Maybe someone has more time than I do and can make some calls. Whenever I call Code they are less than helpful. They always act like it's annoying that I called and try to rush me off the phone.

The SRT9000 and the SRT6700 units have finally been fixed. There was an issue with frequency, antenna, firmware.....who knows. Code has now stepped forward and recently fixed the problem.

So for those of us like me that have an SRT with poor range and problems not even working in some places, Do we get an update to fix our systems? Or are we stuck with a poor performing unit?

Thanks

The unit has a lifetime warranty. You have two ways to go about it. If you purchased it from me you can either send me the brain, antenna and remotes and I can send them to code for warranty or you can contact Code Alarm yourself and they can handle you personally since you purchased it from an AUTHORIZED DIRECT dealer.

I did purchase it from you. So If I send it to you about how much turn around time should I expect. The cold is already coming here in Michigan.

Can you please send me an email jimc2004 @ hotmail.com, with instructions on this process.

Thanks for your help and quick response.

I'll get on the phone with my code sales rep tomorrow and see if she can get me some replacement SRT6700 packages. I'll hit you up tomorrow with the details. I looked at my past sales of the SRT6700s and man there are a lot of people to get a hold of. She did this with about sixteen SRT9000s last month that I need to send back to them.

I believe the units come to me from Michigan. Maybe I can swing a way for you to send the unit to them yourself with just putting a Return Authorization number on the box and return address.

Also remove your email address from the posting above. Spam bots roam forums for linkable email addresses. With the way yours is posted you might start getting attacked with spam mail (even more). If you need to post an email do it like travis @ kcautosound . com or something so it's a dead link.
