Cargo Bed Light

I've been looking around for a decent cargo bed light, especially one that works with a hard tonneau cover, and saw an ad for this one on this site. Anyone have any reviews or comments on it? I appreciate your input.

if you have a tonneau cover that would be a great feature. Looks like it was built specifically for that

Yeah, it seems like it would work well. I was wondering if anyone had purchased one yet and tried it out. I'll probably do so within the upcoming week.

Thanks for the reply.

I asked pretty much the same question one day before you posted this.

Thanks for the update. I had done a search for "automatic cargo light" before I made my post and didn't get your original thread in the list. Who knows .....

Anyway, I'm still debating whether to purchase this kit or figure out my own version of it. Something to think about over the weekend!

Have you guys looked at the bed rail light kit from Recon Accessories? The kit consists of two separate strands, with each strand having four pods of six LED's each.

I bought this kit a few months ago for my F250. I have a Pace Edwards retractable tonneau, and am quite impressed with the illumination these LEDs provide. I mounted a switch under the bed rail near the tailgate.

Do you have any pics of the installed product?

Just white LEDs. It must be the BedRug making it look a little blue.

Go with the Recon LEDs ....I had ordered the ones from:http://shop.4zproducts.com/ and they were not very durable and pretty flimsy.....might be Ok for an interior application but for my truck bed I ended up getting the Recon LEDs which are very well built and provide alot more illumination.

I obviously have a set of the ones at http://shop.4zproducts.com/ I love them. Haven't had any problems with them. We have them on several pickups included the one we use as our field service unit at the farm.
