Question gear swap

I want to swap my 355 limited slip rear gear to a 410 limited slip. I have a 2000 f-150 supercab with 5.4. Are there any adverse effects to engine, computer, trans, etc.? I have a superchip, K & N air filter, pacesetter exhaust, under drive pulleys, Need feedback from anyone who has done this gear swap or knows information about this.

Cool

Hey David,

I would talk to Mike Troyer about customizing your Superchip on the gear change.

I recently changed mine from 3:55 to 3:73's and was told by the Ford dealership service mgr. that the computer would adjust itself for the gear change. NOT SO!

The top speed limiter is off by approximately 3 mph (95 mph shut down vs the factory setting of 98 to 100 mph).

I'm getting my custom Superchip in the next couple of weeks (on order)and it should correct the calibration.
