I was wondering who has purchased these wires and how much were they. I am leaning toward the MSD 8.5mm wires because of their low resistance (40-50 ohms/foot) compared to the stock 2000+ ohms/foot. I called and spoke to Summit and they do not carry any for my truck, just ones for the 98 4.6 Mustang which were $79.69.

I believe you will find MSD does not make a set for the truck. The Mustang wires are a little short on some cylinders.

Accel, Taylor, Jacobson, Magnacore and FMS all have wire sets for the 4.6L F-150.

I think the Accel wires are 500 ohms per foot.

2000 ohms per foot!! I haven't heard of that much with the factory wires. 1000 ohms per foot is max. If they reach that you throw them away.

I know you’re a Ford tech but my 1999 Haynes manual says that 4000 – 6000 ohms per foot is within spec for the factory wires. FMS wires are 1000 per foot and I believe Taylor make them for FMS.
