Thanks for the input Mudder. Tina - I believe this was in late Feb. early March. You can see a picture of the Grizzly's on an extended cab in the Automotive Accessories Connection catalouge (see product list for their web site or 1-888-425-2885). They were $269 delievered for chrome reg. cab. I will most likely order from these guys when I do make my purchase because they were so nice about the return and I think they have good prices. Good luck. Please post your decision and results.
Ken

Ken Utley: thanks, how long ago was this?? Reason being, I can't seem to find any grizzly sidebars anywhere. I'm putting nerfbars on the truck as soon as I decide on what I like. Your descriptions sound interesting and I wanted to see grizzly before making up my mind.

Also, I found another site www.dawsbetterbuilt that has some awesome sidebars (but $$$$). Any one know anything about these???

Ken Utley: I went to auto acces con but I can't find any grizzly's. They must have killed them all and stuffed them and now you can only find them in someone's garage. Any way I did order the catalog and I thank you for that.

To Tina and all...

I found Grizzly side bars in Cabela's catalog (probably can check a photo of them online at www.cabelas.com). Like Ken, I was first attracted to the look of these -- but after reading these posts I think I'll look around for some Westin's or Smitty's. Anyone know of a good website to find these two maker's side bars on-line?

Please let me know...

Jim

I've had a pair of Westin black bars on since May of '97 and am happy with my decision. They have taken quite a thump (enough to gouge the rubber step cover) without bending.

I finally decided on what nerfs to put on the beast!!! I did get to see those grizzleys, YUK! Not on my baby. I found mine at www.dawsbetterbuilt.com There're the stainless w/black step for supercab. They list rather pricy on that site but I called the 800# and found out I could "pressure" Walmart into ordering them for me at HALF the price!! Install on passanger side took about 20 minutes, I did it! I have to agree w/everyone else, printed directions are really crappy. Drivers side just did not want to match up so my husband drilled an extra hole in the mounting bracket and it went on in less than 20 minutes! They look fantastic and the kids had a grand time climbing in and out of the truck

Angry

I checked out Walmart and they said they have never carried them
It was a "Super" Walmart too.
It may vary by region.

OK - for any of you guys that want "plain chrome nerf bars" without any plastic step or anything on it - what about the ones on the new Harley Davidson F150??? It is probably a pretty good bar if they chose it for that model...however, I wonder how realistic it is to buy one (availability and $$$)????
Just a thought I had cause I would like to get "plain" chrome ones for my black truck (I think chrome/black looks sharp)

I've had my Rhino step bars on now for a year and no signs of rust even through the Wisconsin winter. These are also bolt to frame construction with no drill. They do have stabilizers that fasten to the body but they are not the primary support. The brackets fit perfect and the instructions were a snap to read and understand. When pricing these out the were cheaper than both the smitty's and westins. They can also be set up for different heights depending on the vehicle. I would highly recommend these step bars.

Lightbulb

Has anyone tried Manik products? They have a set of nerf bars/tube steps that look good and require no drilling.
