Light Bar

I'm having trouble finding a light bar like I want. I want a light bar that will go up behind the cab mounted on the bed rails like a headache rack but does not have the tubes that go down towards the back. I don't really like headache racks square look or the stuff that crosses accross the window. Just basicly want a tube hoop that follows the lines of the cab from rail to rail and has 3 - 4 light attachment points. Also needs to be black. No chrome. Would love it if someone could point me in the direction of one of these.

You would have to cut some of the 'headache fins' out of the referenced models if I understand what you are looking for. Would need to leave some in for support/rigidity purposes. Good luck

Okay...I think I can help...Go to stylinconcepts.com...and in the search section of the site...top left corner maybe...type in: RN29200...this will take you to their LED light bar that comes in 49" or 60" and will run you around $60 with shipping and handling...it has a 4-way hitch connector...and each half of it blinks with the turn signals...I'm going to get this for my truck! ...optionally type RN29204 in the search bar...this will take you to their specialbar with back-up lights...same specs...just extra white LEDs for backing up...it pretty cool but will run you twice as much + shipping which ends up being:$135.45...this web site is awesome... ...you can also get a free, full color ,parts catalog, with a $10 coupon for the 1st purchase over $100 from them, just follow the link at the top of the page...it should come in the mail in less than 10 days...Good luck!

ok, if you dont mind doing a little work this is what i did to my 97 f-150. i bought a K&N light bar off of e-bay ( Make sure it is the right width) then i was going to buy the rain gutter mounts that K&N makes, but i found out that they dont make them for my model f-150, so i ordered from an auto parts dealer the gutter mounts that fit about a 95 chevy 1500, the reason i got them is because they are stainless steel and flat, then with a little work with a hammer getting the right bend in the mounts i cut away the weather stripping under the door and bolted them in so the door could still close without hitting them. the bar and mounts have worked great for me, i have 4 6" 150W lights on top that have never given me any problems, also i did all this back when i was 16 so it was not to hard, and the bar and mounts ended up costing under 60$. hope this helps
