I'm looking for nerf bars that mount to the
frame for a F150 Supercab 2000.

Below are my notes:
Westin: 800 793-7846, body mount only
Smittybuilt: 909 272-3176, body mount only
Manik: 800 457-7645, body mount only
Waag: 818 989-5008, frame mount

Does anyone know if Ford's tubular cab steps are frame or body mount? Does anyone have
experience with Waag, the only vendor who
appears to offer frame mounted nerf bars?

 

I have the DeeZee stainless steel offroad tubes. Their great. Bolts onto the frame. Easy installation. I got mine for $400. That's for the reg cab, so urs might be a little more. Go with the stainless teel whatever u do. it withstands alot more than the aluminum tubes

I have the Luverne Stainless stell nerf bars on my 99 SC, they mount to the frame on the rear mount and to the body mount bracket in the front. About $320 from a nearby Ford dealer. Not all Dealers carry these so you might have to check around. They also have a web site www.luvernetruck.com

I have the Westin, I can't complain about them. Instructions were clear and installed easily. Although I do need to install front mud flaps now because mud and stones now hit the nerf bars.
