I have the Lund and had many people ask about it....Yes it does have drains for water-snow (but we never get snow in New Orleans)

Question

Does anyone have pics of their trucks with bug guards? A good front shot and a side profile would be nice so we can see how high it stands off the hood. All brands welcome.

Just a suggestion. I have looked through Readers Rides, but it gets confusing with that many trucks to look at. Hopefully this will help members looking for a bug guard really get a close up of how a model might look on their truck.

If posting a pic, pls include:
brand, model, how it mounts and if it requires those rubber spacers on top of the hood.

MY MPC deflector looks good but can't keep a thing off the windshield. Does not use sticky tape or screws to stay on, but they put those little clear raised dots on the shield and small clear little plastic squares on the hood to keep it from rubbing.
There is so much clearance I can't see how there would ever be any contact.
It seems like the Ford brand is the best, or may be Lund.

Supercrew,

I forget who makes Bugflector II's. The parent company should be easy to find. Yes this is the one a lot of people get and paint the back side. Look's cool clear however. Some have complained about eventual yellowing after a few years but I had not experienced it and now I no longer have that truck so I will never know.

Question

Limelight, you wouldn't happen to have a picture of your truck that you could post? I am really interested in exactly how a Lund Interceptor looks on a new F-150.

The Lund Interceptor and the Ford OEM shield are built at the same factory. Both are made from GE Polycarbonate material. The Lund is thicker because it does not contour close to the hood. I use to work at this company as a design engineer.

The Lund Interceptor has been on my '97 for three and a half years. Still looks great; even got the Meguiar's polish made for them to keep'er lookin' good.
