Tailgate Electric Lock
I have had a PE lock for a few years now without any problems, as far as it working properly.
The only issues I ran into was fitment. I had to trim the mounting plate (thin piece of aluminum) to get it to fit correctly. I also ended up having to put in a filler block to keep the lock from vibrating when I would close the tailgate.
The one for the newer model may be designed better.
Good luck!!

That is why I had to modify mine and add the filler block. The mounting plate is a thin piece of aluminum and like Newt stated, if you pulled real hard on the handle, the plate would flex and allow the tailgate to open. Once I put the block in, all was fixed.
With yours being a newer model, it might have a better fit than the ones for the Heritage model.
